Afghanistan & Posturing Generals

Yesterday the media had stories about 4000 U.S. troops going to Afghanistan. The Associated Press was one of the news vendors publishing the possibility. Mad Magazine did not carry the story. Mad does original comedy and does not write about naturally occurring comedy in our foreign policy missteps. After all we have been fighting and losing in Afghanistan for over 16 years. Our Secretary of Defense and retired four star Marine General James "Mad Dog " Mattis talked about the American surge recently in Congressional testimony. The Mad Dog nickname could be a clue in future on how to deal humanely with career bred killers. Mattis looks to me as a classic posturing general with enough scrap medal on his chest to keep a homeless scavenger in fixings for a day.Ever hear of a general losing his life in combat?Any generals die from nerve gas, nuclear blasts, Agent Orange part of collateral damage due to cruise missile attacks into an urban area, friendly fire---boy if there was ever a euphemism of Homeric proportions-- or other ways of dying or losing parts or use of ones body that are too many to list here? I certainly have not. The generals move avatars around on a graphics screen coming up with sure fire plans on tactical moves that will prevail over the enemy. The generals are not on the ground with nothing between their body and mortality against an Afghani who just wants to hold on to what little he or she has in life. The strutting generals claim to be bound and committed to duty that protects us here in America.Sixteen years later we lose soldiers, equipment and treasure as a daily occurrence. So the generals are not doing their avowed duty. If they were dong their duty some would die. But the generals are probably teeing up a Titleist rather aiming at a Taliban. If you want war fight in the war.The generals and the politicians are not stepping up. I suggest NO WAR WITHOUT A NATIONAL REFERENDUM. Send the war mongers to the golf course permanently.

Obama, Congress, Syria, Tomahawk Missile, Sarin Gas, Nobel Peace Prize

President Obama is our black president and also the recipient of a Nobel Peace Prize. He is the walking talking incarnation of how far affirmative action has rendered heretofore revered positions and prizes sullied by political correctness. But "it is an ill wind that doesn't carry some good". Obama's deferring to congressional approval for a retaliatory missile on Syria does deserve a clap of the hands. Granted he took his cue from Britain but I doubt if George W Bush who is a kind of affirmative action moron who only because he's the  scion of the Bush Family  political cartel would have exampled such heed..

It looks like Sarin gas was used.. Was it Assad? Was it the rebels? We don't know for sure. Sarin gas kills no more brutally than shrapnel , vaporization, bleeding to death or by infection or amputation etc.Adult minds don't parse the difference. Only adults with children brains see a difference. The weapon of choice for the retaliatory strike would be a sea-launched Tomahawk Missile. But they are supposed to be surgical. They are supposed to be pinpoint. They are touted as only killing the "enemy". Sounds like god's justice. here are a few details about Tomahawk Missiles. They are 18 feet 3 inches long. They weigh 3500 pounds. They carry a warhead of 1000 pounds. They cost between $569,000 and $1.45 million depending on how accurate you want them. " I shot an arrow into the air..." Can anyone in the world honestly say that an 18 foot, 4500 pound missile that travels at close to sonic speeds can hit its target without impacting a considerable amount of contiguous space? That's also known as collateral damage. I would take bets that for the 1425 people who died from Sarin gas our Tomahawk strikes would impact or kill at least more than double that amount.

Mr. Peace Prize Obama was half correct in deferring to congress. He would have been 100% correct if he said no to any retaliatory strikes on his own because of humanitarian reasons.

George W Bush Emails Hacked:Electronic Shoe Throwing?

"Character is fate", remarked the 5th century B.C. Greek philosopher Heraclitus.

The New York Times is carrying the story that George W Bush emails for the past three years have been hacked and posted on the website " The Smoking Gun". The emails contain gossip , photos, w's observations along with friends messages Naturally also included are personal names and addresses and contact numbers for W's personal circle of family and friends. Want to contact W now or ever more? We all remember W as the the moron who gave us preemptive war and then demonstrated its pitfalls by invading Iraq for WMD . He found none. But under his direct orders killed over a million innocent Iraqi civilians and dislocated over 5 millions. His reckless moronic behavior still causes deaths in Iraq to this day . His overthrow of Saddam Hussein started a civil war with no end in sight. George also gave us the Patriot Act. That misnomer allowed surveillance of U.S. citizens without warrants. So todays news looks like some payback for the ass.Hopefully W will never sleep well for the rest of his days.

In Iraq on November 16, 2007, Iraqi broadcast journalist Muntadhar al- Zaidi throw both his shoes at Bush at a press conference. He shouted at the same time, " This is a farewell kiss from the Iraqi people you dog." The hacking is a kind of electronic shoe throwing. The shoe has been passed to many others.

Joe Biden : Only Smarter Than George W Bush

Vice President Joe Biden was on NBC's "Meet The Press" today. It's astouding this guy is VP. He more resembles in thought and demaenor an average half- loaded bartender. I must not digress. Concerning the Chinese dissident Chen Guangcheng, he said " I think his future is in America. He has an oppotunity to go to NYU and we're are prepared to give him a visa right away. He's going to be able to take his family."

Gee. Chen is one out of 1.25 billion. Obviously no one will miss him in China, but why does Joe think him valuable? Chen is blind, an aspiring attorney, pro life and has a sore foot. What will the U.S. get for it's hospitality? It has to educate him first. No. First  it has to tend to his sore foot. That will require an interpreter. That's another expense. When he goes to NYU he will need an interpreter and help with the stairs. He and his family will need full monetary and social support just to get around. And if he passes his courses at NYU America will get another lawyer. That's a bad deal. Joe could be the dumbest politicain ever to rise to the executive branch of government, but that position is firmly held at this time by George W Bush and his "preemptive war" doctrine and other , many mistakes and ommissions.

There was a song in the 1960's that keeps running through my head as somehow relevant to both Joe and George. It was " Shotgun" by Junior Walker and the Allstars. There's a line that sounds appropiate, it goes "..shoot 'em 'fore they run now".

Remember Project for New American Century? PNAC for Short

Whatever happened to the Project for the New American Century? It was formed in 1999 shortly after then president Bill Clinton ordered a war of choice against Serbia. He authorized 37,000 bombing missions! Why? He said it was to stop Serbian "ethnic cleansing"of Muslims. But it probably had more to do with getting his name off the front page with super blow-job operative Monica Lewinski. Anyway the farting and belching American electorate/couch-potatoes were more interested in sub sandwiches, beers and an occasional joint while watching sports or Seinfeld. In short they didn't care or did not notice.

But social bacteria like Dick Cheney, Don Rumsfeld, Bill Kristol and fellow Zionist- strain pathogen Paul Wolfowitz along with other members of the American Enterprise Institute central casting of NEOCONS had an idea. If Clinton's barbarism in Yugoslavia didn't bother the slobs of America then why not form PNAC and take barbarism on the road? All they would need was "provocation" real or imagined. Well then came 9/11 and the rest is history. But on the way to world domination PNAC and hapless America ran into Afghanistan. The Iron Age country seems to be killing U.S. troops at will lately.

The take away lesson is money and arrogance can never beat an occupied peoples will to survive and prevail.

C.I.A.: Finally There's a Cost to Misdeeds

Could it get any more silly implementing American foreign policy? Today the U.S. recalled its C.I.A. station chief from "ally"Pakistan. A local prosecutor in Pakistan named him -name witheld in our media but is on front page in Pakistan! Wait it gets more stupid. Also named is C.I.A. boss Leon Panetta and Sectretary of Defense Robert Gates as defendants in a lawsuit. The prosecutor wants to recover damages and mete out possible criminal penalties for killing innocents in Pakistan. The method was the drone aircraft. Pakistan gets billions from us so we can do canned hunts in their lands. All good things must come to and end. Now the hunters are being hunted by terrorists who want to kill the C.I.A. station chief after his name was published . His cover is blown , that's why he's  being recalled.

The C.I.A. spends about $ 80 billion a year fomenting trouble around the world. They are kind of like an advance group for our military-industrial complex. You know. They drum up or bomb up business. The C.I.A. create more problems than they prevent. So it's somewht gratifying that these cowards are getting some real heat. Maybe Leon Panetta should resign and open a pizza shop with Gates as a delivery boy?

Abolish Presidency

President Lyndon Johnson's Great Society jump started the possibility for black president Barack Obama to become president. Between affirmative action, guilt merchandising and entitlemets it was inevitable that someone like Obama would become the chief executive. But guilt merchandising etc doesn't provide wisdom to its cause celebre minorities. And that's what we are missing with Mr. Obama.

To be fair, spoiled white, morons like George W. Bush shouldn't have gotten the job either. I think that the job should be abolished to prevent these catastrophic office holders. Power should reside in states at quasi-tribal levels.

The Afghanistan Mess

Let's see now. The Taliban don't  want us in Afghanistan. The Afghanis want us to leave. The majority of American citizens want us out. Yet we continue with massive casualties and huge drains on our wealth. So who benefits? Warmongers benefit. The military -industrial complex and all the jobs it creates keeps this war going. I'd wager that if most people in the U.S. were asked to choose between their defense jobs or withdrawal from Afghanistan they would choose their continued employment and a continuation of the war at some level.

Iraq Warplanes Request:Here We Go Again

The great peacemakers and warmongers in Washington are looking favorably on Iraq's request for a purchase of 18 F-16s. America's leaders rotate between war and peace because its good for business overall. Iraq is proposing an initial purchase of 18 in what could eventually total 96 warplanes. Iraq's leaders would rather spend money on planes than repair the infrastructure or help displaced people. The poor people of Iraq get no respect from their government or our government. It adds up to another victory for the military-industrial-complex. Iraq rearms, Iran responds, Israel responds, Turkey responds etc etc. and the US sells arms to all .

People of war should not be mourned when they die. They fulfilled their destiny .

Will The Russians Control Bush, Cheney Better Than Congress?

"Nature hates a vacuum", is attributed to the Greek philospher Aristotle. The truth of a statement is proportional to its observable applications. Bad foreign or domestic policy bring on unintended negative consequences. Thus a vacuum of sound judgment will be filled out of thin air with a subsequent more appropriate judgment and/or action.

And so the vacuum of Congress as a counterweight to the Bush/Cheney administration has brought back the Cold War. Congress was missing in the Afghanistan overreaction which turned the whole country against the U.S. "liberators". Congress was complicit and more than helpful in the insane invasion of Iraq. Congress was silent when the Administration tore up one nuclear limitation treaty after another with the Russians. And so the Russians response to the U.S. funding of insurrection by Georgia is a massive retaliation.

So now we have a predictable Russian discipline that will be imposed on vacuums or gaps in bad U.S. foreign policy. I think we will all be more secure with that discipline/threat rather than with the bad judgment threat and lack of discipline of our Congress.
