Politicians: Running For Office May Run From Office.

Bucolic Ottawa lost its bucolicness.Yesterday a gunman killed a soldier in Ottawa and was himself killed in the nearby Parliament building shortly thereafter.Parliamentarians were told to hide in their offices. Only when a all clear was announced would they be free to resume free movement. Is this the way Assad of Syria first learned of voter disappointment? Will future potential candidates be dissuaded from running from office by this new demand on elected officials. I.E. May be assassinated while serving. This is new.Sure assassinations started before Julius Caesar was killed by Brutus and others. But now Plebians are doing it and there are more of them.

Whistleblower In Washington: We Need More

Today the SEC awarded a record $30 million to a whistleblower. The foreigner was instrumental in cracking a tax evasion case against a Swiss bank. That chunk of dough is peanuts compared to the billions that treasury will receive in fines and past due taxes.Light bulb time. Why isn't whistleblowing awards offered to helpful informants who point the finger at our pols in D.C.? We all know that Washington is a cesspool of excrement. Just look at the resumes of our three past presidents. Just think of the goo in the ranks these execs direct. Notice the whistleblower in the SEC case helped getting back taxes. Another example of money not ethics as the guiding motivation of our leaders.

Warren Buffett: Needs Reality Check

Nuclear reactors exploding in Japan because of historic earthquake. Bodies washing up on the shore because of the Tsunami. Japans stock market plunges wiping out $267 billion of value. Riots continue in the mideast with strategic Saudi Arabia now threatened with an overthrow by Islamists who despise America. Libya is raging . China's growth is slowing and also there is an undercurrent of unrest. Greedy U.S. politicians continue to ignore potentially ruinous economic issues.

But Warren Buffett who heads Berkshire Hathaway just signed another deal today. The stock market has doubled in the past two years but Buffett now thinks Lubrizol is worth a 28% premium over Fridays close. He pays $9 billion for the company. Buffetts cash horde is reduced to $29 billion after the purchase. Of course more money from his various companies will eventually build up his liquidity again. Or will it? His main business is insurance. That's where the bulk of the cash is generated. But what about the unexpected, like an earthquake, or riots or an attack by Islamists or disgruntled U.S. citizens? Payout will have to be made and business in general will suffer. Buffett is shaking dice with insurance premium receipts. What could possibly go wrong?

HIV and Politics

The Center for Disease Control released a study today linking HIV and AIDS to poverty more than to race. It was presented at the international AIDS conference in Vienna, Austria.

I want to release my opinion today. HIV and AIDS are related to sex. Race and finances are politics. Why would the CDC blame finances? Because finances is politics and then all kinds of expensive and powerful oppotunities show up.

Rep.Joe Wilson & Fort Sumter

Joe Wilson is from the state of South Carolina. It's the state where Fort Sumter is located and was fired upon by Confederate forces starting the Civil War. Rep. Wilson fired a rebellious remark at our hybrid Communist/Chicago-style president and was criticized by some. Telling the truth is always welcome except in decadent societies. Will the South rise again? Before the story of America is finished, all points of the compass will rise up against Washingtons arrogance.

Morons & Foxes In San Francisco

Come to San Francisco and see the morons lead the foxes on a merry chase that the fox has pre-scripted the moron to play the lead.I.E. We have naturally occuring morons who are serviced by sly foxes who would seem to be acting in a moronic way but in fact are in charge of the larcenous scheme .And then there is the eclectorate who fund this madness and seem to be OK with the idea of $1458.00 ambulance pick ups.

A recent example is a 41 year old habitual drunk named Kenny  who cost SF over $150,000.00 last year because he was peeled off the pavement in a druken stupor over 100 times. He then was ferried to a hospital for detox at the City's expense and then released to go home to his City provided digs wher he waits for his monthly allowance of $400.00 cash so he can again buy beer ad nauseaum. His food, when he rembers to eat is provided by the City.

What came first, Kenny or the $1458.00 ambulance ride? Kenny came first. In the old days, bums like Kenny would have been found drunk and then lumberd into the back of a paddy wagon . Next day he would be tried for public drunkeness and probably vagrancy and if he had no SF home would have been escorted to the county line. But there's no money in that for City Hall executives and their co-conspiring public unions. With SF awash in revenues, Kenny could and should be turned into a profit center for City executives to build up political patronage jobs so votes could be counted on. Enter the $1458.00 ambulance ride.

But wait thre's more. Kenny really doesn't cost the City $150,000.00 per year.If Kenny died and didn't get his freebe ride the City budget would still be out of pocket the $13,000,000.00 buget per year for ambulance service. The drivers and the rolling stock are now a fact to be funded until the voters take back the City.

Afghanistan Democracy: Can They Afford One?

America is one of the richest countries on the planet whith a per capita income of app. $48,000.00 per year. In spite of this wealth we are a debtor nation. Our democracy continues to generate new entitlements to any legal or illegal that can yell. And all these entitlements are expensive.

Afghanistan is having another election this weekend. Our politicians are seeing this as progress. How can Afghanistan afford a democracy when the per capita income is about app. $450.00 per year? Will their politicians work for free? Who will be given a subsidy with so little to spare?

CIT Failure Would Be Mistake

Ignoring CIT and the small/medium size business' it serves would be a tactical and financial mistake by the Obama Administration. It would be a breaking of faith with small and medium sized business. These are the job creators in the past, now and in the future. The app. 1,000,000 accounts that CIT serves would not easily, if at all find a replacement. Big bank business models are not geared for CIT-type accounts. Consequently bankrupties would follow for some of those accounts and include others in their greater spheres of influence.

The chump change of $4 billion that CIT needs is relatively nothing compared to the hundreds of billions that already have gone out the window to the constructive criminals at AIG,B of A, Citigroup, GM and Chrysler. Small business built this country. Small business owners ran for office . Now many of our politicians are lawyers or people who never had a real job. This results in leadership that doesn't get it or worse get it but are paid to ignore it.

Where Are The Indictments For Financial Meltdown?

Will anyone go to jail for the financial misdeeds and meltdown? No. Because the heretofore criminal financial manipulations were made legal by the legislation that Congress passed. Wall Street and the bankers bribed our reps. Congress is largely a criminal enterprise. Don't forget .

Hillary Clinton: Wants To Be Bitch-Slapped?

Just when it looked like the white- trash Clintons and their trailer-park scandals would forever fade away, along comes a president-elect and bright negro to grant them yet more exposure on the world stage. Obama made a deal with the Clinton's to avoid conflict of interests with respect to Hillary's new job as Secretary of State. Yeah sure, it will be as effective as lobbyist and campaign finance reform. Of course money isn't everything. Bill will be more attractive and available now that his wife is out of town. Amy Winehouse is looking for kicks.

Speaking of kicks, I'm struck by the warm feelings that the truthful cameras offer up when Barack and Hillary are on stage. Could it be that Hillary has finally met a man she can rely on? Would a bitch-slap from Barack be welcome if she opens daylight between her ideas on policy and his?

The U.S. doesn't need more political soap operas in real-time that take the place for much needed meaningful foreign or domestic policies. Our politicians are overpaid and mostly are made up of the criminal class.
