Misanthropes News Roundup; It's Going to Get Worse
Another article last week in the New York Times calculated that the total value of financial derivatives in play is app. $584 trillion! Some prospective would compare that figure with the app. $ 20 trillion value of all real estate in the U.S. In other words, not only have we bet all houses on the outcome of Wall Street bets on stocks through commodites and including payouts on life insurance settlements but we have leveraged the structures app 30 to 1. What could possibly go right with that bet? Commodity price surges have accounted for the riots around the world. Wall Street speculators have contributed to poverty and starvation. You see, when poor people buy wheat or gas, they buy it for one day and pay cash. But when Wall Street "investment" banks and speculators buy wheat or gas, they buy the product of entire fields for months and years to come. AND they buy it on as little as 5% margin.
Osama bin Laden was killed yesterday. Good riddance. But George W. Bush wont get indicted. Actually the little mean spirited moron is still alive, writing books and giving speeches. To recap, the latest news for misanthropes is pretty bleak. But this news does bring new converts to the ranks. Ah well, flu season is coming.

George W Bush at Baseball Game
Yesterday moron George W Bush and suspected moron George H. W. Bush threw out first ball at Texas Ranger, San Francisco Giants world series game. I suspect H.W. to be a constructive moron for not having noticed over the course of years his dim witted sons problem with understanding reality. W. then went on to Miami Book Fair to push his newly realeased memoir. Memoir, what facts will he ignore? I wont investigate.
I've read that Cheney and Rumsfeld will be hunting game birds in a canned Texas hunt this season. Last week an Iraqi court sentenced Tariq Aziz to hang for his part in killing thousands of Iraqi Shiites and Kurds during the Saddam Hussein regime. Hussein has already been hung. But it's popular and accurate knowledge that more Iraqis have died and been displaced because of the invasion and continuing occupation of Iraq by U.S. forces under the direction of Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld. Far more Iraqi deaths than under Hussein's regime. Therefore common logic and justice would dictate that the three criminals should have been hung also instead of enjoying their freedom.
P.S. Another 52 Iraqis died in a suicide in Baghdad this morning. America's invasion destabilized Iraq. But I don't think that Bush, Cheney or Rumsfeld lose a minute of sleep because of their crimes. But the U.S. as a whole continues to live under threat because of reckless foreign policies.

Morons & Foxes In San Francisco
Come to San Francisco and see the morons lead the foxes on a merry chase that the fox has pre-scripted the moron to play the lead.I.E. We have naturally occuring morons who are serviced by sly foxes who would seem to be acting in a moronic way but in fact are in charge of the larcenous scheme .And then there is the eclectorate who fund this madness and seem to be OK with the idea of $1458.00 ambulance pick ups.
A recent example is a 41 year old habitual drunk named Kenny who cost SF over $150,000.00 last year because he was peeled off the pavement in a druken stupor over 100 times. He then was ferried to a hospital for detox at the City's expense and then released to go home to his City provided digs wher he waits for his monthly allowance of $400.00 cash so he can again buy beer ad nauseaum. His food, when he rembers to eat is provided by the City.
What came first, Kenny or the $1458.00 ambulance ride? Kenny came first. In the old days, bums like Kenny would have been found drunk and then lumberd into the back of a paddy wagon . Next day he would be tried for public drunkeness and probably vagrancy and if he had no SF home would have been escorted to the county line. But there's no money in that for City Hall executives and their co-conspiring public unions. With SF awash in revenues, Kenny could and should be turned into a profit center for City executives to build up political patronage jobs so votes could be counted on. Enter the $1458.00 ambulance ride.
But wait thre's more. Kenny really doesn't cost the City $150,000.00 per year.If Kenny died and didn't get his freebe ride the City budget would still be out of pocket the $13,000,000.00 buget per year for ambulance service. The drivers and the rolling stock are now a fact to be funded until the voters take back the City.

Don't Support The Troops In Iraq
" Support the troops" conjures up the situation of American troops in the field unable to return fire because they ran out of ammo. What B.S. If Congress overrode the presidential veto and forced a U.S. withdrawal, the commander in chief would be forced to give the order of an orderly retreat or be impeached. There would be time and ammo for this transition to play out.
DON'T SUPPORT THE TROOPS IN IRAQ. SUPPORT THE TROOPS IN AMERICA. This is where we need a strong militia.

Nancy Pelosi Versus George Bush
Among other barbs and direct attacks she said,"..the president has to answer for his war. He has dug a hole so deep he can't even see the light. It's a tradgedy. It's a stark blunder." Also she said, " The president knows that because the troops are in harm's way that we [ congress ] won't cut off the resources. That's why he's moving so quickly to put them in harm's way."
Brava! No mincing there. No respect to a president who has no respect for most everything. Nancy Pelosi's attacks on George Bush will become legend. Hopefully she will embolden others to speak out forcefully and fearlessly to other abusers of power in our government. If her convictions and strength can be harnessed to government reforms and policies that rely on market-oriented and individual responsibility, then she will go a long way.
Nancy Pelosi is starting out to be the voice of authority that our bratty, moronic president never had and now needs. She is the quasi - mother figure who tells Georgie to clean up his Iraqi sand box and put his harmful toys away.
