Children Of Fiat Money

Starting with George W. Bush and continuing through Barack Obama's second term the U.S. will have approximately 16 years of federal deficits of about $1 trillion per year. That's well into a full generation of an unreal economic heretofore never experienced by any generation of peoples in recorded history. Before this time people created value and wealth the old fashioned way. They worked and saved. Now congress and the executive along with judicial activism mandate money be created to support the brave new world of equality. Equality before the law and increasingly equality in results. We had deficits before. But on a much smaller scale. Notably the Lyndon Johnson presidency. At that time Johnson and Congress funded the Viet Nam War and an expansion of entitlements without regard to how they were to be paid. Two people raised in that poorly thought out period were the same George W. Bush and the same Barack Obama. They saw. They experienced. They copied. Hence the mess we are in today.

What will the sixteen years and counting experience of $ 1 trillion deficits coupled with $ 1 trillion Federal Reserve  purchases of government securities do to young and immature minds who are forming a basis of approaching life? Will G.W. Bush and B. Obama look frugal in comparison?

One thing for sure. Afghanistan will not change as much compared to what the U.S. will experience in difference in the coming years..

QE 4? Next Quantitative Easing Might Be Forgiveness Of Debt

What more can the Federal Reserve do ? Right now after 3 and counting quantitative easing, the fed holds app $1.7 trillions of U.S government debt.. It created the money to buy the paper. That's about 10% of the total outstanding debt. How about the fed decides to erase the fiat money by not taking the payoffs of  the maturing notes? The federal government erases debt and its like the whole exercise never happened. Sound too good to be true? It is. But it still might happen. The problem is that wont be the last time you see that trick. The downside would be a runaway congress without fiscal discipline until capital markets call a halt to the irresponsible transactions.

It Keeps Getting Weirder: Afghanistan Air Force

Guess what the U.S. wants to do for Afghanistan now? Here's a hint. The U.S engineers just completed an 8000 foot runway in Shindand. That was a generous clue.  If you suspect our government, who heretofore has been closing air bases in America to make room for more strip malls and housing tracks, is going to establish an Afghanistan Air Force. You guessed correctly. So here's a stone age country getting outfitted with  state of the art fighter and support aircraft from a "modern civilized country" who increasingly behaves like it is stoned. We have lost our way.

Hunger Games: It's From Hunger For Money

Occupied territories Hollywood is feasting on new substrata . What's for dinner? How about teens killing teens? This is new. Make no mistake. The book Hunger Games and now the movie depict teen atrocities. Everything is fair game. Our society isn't fit for prime time entertainment by most traditional ,sensible, value based measures. It's no wonder why people all over the planet have us in their crosshairs.

Layoffs Should Include Congress

Bank of America is in the news today. It's considering cutting 40,000 jobs. That's 10% of its workforce. The Post Office last week talked about cutting 120,000 jobs. Last night Obama told Congress he had a plan for reducing the unemployed and he wanted support from all members. Even if he got support , it would seem that the misery of unemployment has reached a breeder reactor-like- dynamic of layoffs begetting more layoffs. Congress couldn't rally the will fast enough to stop the unraveling of the economy.

How about layoffs in congress along with pay and perq cuts? If ever there was a group that deserved collective punishment it's those bunch of crooks. Will start with that kind of humane actions. But reserve the right to all other barbaric means of eliminating them.

Quantitative Easing is a Circle Jerk

QE 2 will end this Thursday. It will cap nearly one trillion dollars of bond buying by the Federal Reserve. In essence the Fed had to borrow money to buy much of the trillion dollar U.S. government bonds. The U.S. government that issued the bonds did so to repay previous creditors. How long will this financial masturbation last? Oh I almost forgot .The two circle jerkers also work in the same building. But of course.

Pimps, Whores & Congress : Oldest Professions

The worlds oldest profession is popularly known as prostitution. But what is the second oldest profession? I suggest politics. The politician combines the availability and dutifulness of a whore with the commercial savvy of a pimp. Morally speaking the whore offers only what he or she owns and controls. Whereas the politician offers and delivers others labors or assets to a third party for a fee. Clearly the whore is sweating to deliver while the pol just collects with no sweat. Interestingly our society deems prostitution a crime and they can be fined or incarcerated. While politics is legal and campaign contributions amount to billions annually on top of the perqs and generous salaries. But wait there's more. Politicians can make laws that make heretofore illegal or immoral acts into mainstream customs and legal paradigms. Some day they will pay for their crimes.

U.S. Government vs. WikiLeaks

Secretary of Defense Robert Gates described WikiLeaks as  a "cyber terrorist".

When merely posting or saying the truth becomes a "tool of terrorism" according to a government official who has effective military control of America- beware . They have plans for a more aggressive attack against our freedoms including real , unwarranted cyber terrorism.

9/11 Trials Venue

The best place to hold a military or civilian trial of 9/11 participants should be on an aircrft carrier. The ship could be stationed off shore and shuttle participants to shore by helicopter. It would be the cheapest and the most secure venue.

Of course this makes sense. Which qualifies for a dismissal out of hand by government officials.

P.S. How about making Congress have its sessions on a barge in the middle of the Potomac? No one could leave or change clothes or wash while Congress was in session. I think it would speed up deliberations and shorten up considerations.

Insurance Companies and Government and Obama Reform

President Obama was pushing his health care reform at a town hall meeting in Belgrade, Montana today. He said, " Insurance companies are holding America hostage". Well if they are they have Congress' help. Because the insurance lobby is one of the biggest bribers in that outlaw town of Washington, D.C. Also the lawyers bribe Congress to let them  second-guess doctors and hospitals on care and drive costs up by forcing defensive medicine and no-caps on judgements.

Methinks that sans government people could better defend themselves.
