China World Occupation? America Needs Russian Help

The Premier of China Xi-Jinping has a tall order to fill. He has 1.4 billion aspiring Chinese bourgeois who are looking for protein and natural resources on the worlds menu of offerings. The United States needs Russia's help in flanking China now.If Xi-Jinping fails what will follow him will be worse than not getting your meal served while it's still hot.Xi will be followed into the worlds kitchen by a Ghengis Kahn-type at the head of a horde of freebooters looking for food any where it can be found including dumpsters of major cities around the world.Nuclear weapons won't be effective against a far flung Chinese occupation once established .What's cooking? We will be surprised.Never mind the old menu of nothing Russian being ordered. I never knew what was in Chinese food anyway. So I stopped eating Chinese.

Space Mining : Why Bother ?

Ever hear of Planetary Resources ? This company wants to mine outer space. This includes near by asteroids. The company wants to extract metals and water so to "... add trillions of dollars to the [earths] global GDP". They mention "GDP" but that first implies the comfortable care and feeding of the projected billions of people that will follow us on this already crowded earth. Why do we want to make comfortable room for the increasingly lower quality individuls that pop out of womens bellies and may or may not be greeted by the real father? Do you think that the investors in PR care about the coming billions of people? No. They don't care. But they do care about expanding the numbers of consumers for their largely unnecessary products. The investors include the Googler Larry Page and Eric Schmidt and others who want more. They want more because they can't stand what they have because it's not enough .So off they go to zero gravity asteroids to mine with reckless abandon. The tailings will be kicked off the asteroid to mark yet another disturbed piece of the cosmos thanks to the frivolous primate.

There is too much GDP already. There are too many people already. If bozos at Planetary resources want to mine asteroids, let them buy a pick and shovel and get the fuck off the planet.

Apple & Steve Jobs : The Stock Will Lose its Way, But Peace Will Come for Him

A young Steve Jobs both in years, only 55, and in his vitality has succumbed to cancer's force. Maybe it was Jobs' somewhat grotesque pursuit of achievement that invited cancer to finish him off? Possibly Jobs felt deep inside that only death would release him from his relentless quests. Then peace would come.

What about Apple? Apple's market cap is app. $350 billion. That's second only to Exxon Mobil which is the worlds largest corporation and is a real company with REAL ASSETS. I don't think that Apple will now surpass Exxon and continue to grow exponentially. Apples traditional assets like real estate and natural resources are largely contained in a Cupertino, Ca. campus that would be smaller than one Exxon Mobil super tanker. Apple stock will most likely under perform until it comes in with one missed quarter of earnings expectation. Then the stock will open down 25% and follow other broken tech stocks to relative oblivion.

Tim Cook will replace Jobs in day to day management. But like most other Apple employees Cook is a dutiful spouse following Jobs machismo genius. Also Cook's mousey homosexuality is not up to the struggles that he will now face alone.

And the next winner in that smart phone space will be Google.

Rodenticide Needed for Wall Street Operators

Today Facebook and China's largest search engine Baidu announced a joint venture. They plan a social network site in China. The news catapulted Baidu to a $50 billion market cap. Gee. That's only one deal. How many other deals happen all the time that create huge market caps? Trillions are created out of thin air. But one can't eat thin air. One needs hard assets to spend this virtual wealth on. Does the planet have another $50 billion of natural assets to be processed into huge homes, expensive cars, near extinct tuna, near extinct tiger parts, etc? Wall Street operators are a kind of sophisticated omnivore rat. They eat plants, animals and waste natural asets with their alchemy of paper value. They give nothing for these millennia year old products of the earth. All things weighed, Wall Strret rats need a rodenticide.

Condi Rice Doesn't Get It

A Secretary Of State is nothing if not diplomatic. Which brings up our own Condi Rice's rudely chosen words directed at Russia yesterday. Referring to the Georgia/South Osettia war, our pickaninny promised, " Our [U.S.] strategic goal now is to make it clear to Russia's leaders that their choices are putting them on a one-way path to self imposed isolation and international irrelevance". Condi is predicting Russia has a one-way ticket to Palooka-Ville.

So Condi thinks the world can work around or without Russia being involved. Never mind the 13,000 nuclear warheads or the vast natural resources or the rich cultural heritage. Stanford University gave this woman a doctorate on Russian studies. Obviously Condi wasn't impressed with the Russian tutorial.

Rice reminds me of an observation by the 18th century Scottish philosopher David Hume. Hume was in correspondance with a friend who recently visted the Caribbean. The friend remarked how the darkies in Jamaica and other nations spoke perfect English . Hume some years later personally experienced the blacks in Jamaica. He came away with the conviction that the negroes were just reciting and copying white speech and culture like some parrot or Minah bird. They really didn't get it.

And so the philosopher accurately describes our blackbird.

Blackstone Group: Wall St. Alchemists Vs. World's Resources

The long-awaited initial public offering of Blackstone Group ( symbol, BX ) is history. The IPO price of 31 was a bargain as brisk, subsequent open-market trading saw the issue rise another 20% to app. $38. That price values the entire company at app. $40 billion.

What real world effect does that alchemical Wall St phenomenon have? Well it creates $ 40 billion of new wealth in a blink of geological time so frivolous monkeys can borrow against or spend in the world's irreplaceable natural resource bazaar. Wouldn't it be nice if it were that easy for forests, lakes, pollution-free air to be created?
