EBAY, INTERCONTINENTAL EXCHANGE, NYSE : BARTER EXCHANGE

The owner of the New York Stock Exchange is Intercontinental Exchange. ICE for short. ICE is in the news today as a bidder for EBAY. Ebay is the electronic flea market. Wall Street is scratching it's head why? I think ICE wants to add to its flea market exchange another type of exchange. With EBAY's established infrastructure it would be easy for ICE to offer an exchange of bartered goods and services. I.E. people who have goods and services for sale could now offer the same to other similarly positioned venders in a cash free transaction--barter. Could ICE offer on the same EBAY platform a facility for exchanging NYSE listed stocks to all comers for goods and services also? With fiat money available for the asking people would want more value for their real goods and services.

Retail Sales Slow Because Of Sharing Community

Everyone is hoping for growth. The real hopers are the retail outlets who have much debt. But with the phenomenon of "sharing community" who will buy and who will just share or buy second hand?How many families of taxi drivers will spend less because of Uber etc?Why buy a car when you can hail Lyft or Sidecar etc? Want clothes and aren't fussy? Check out Ebay or Craigslist.Commerce will still exist. But how much will be barter? Why buy a home? Share a roof with other renters.Why pay for government its too expensive?Barter and avoid paper trail to taxation.

Genghis Khan a.k.a. Temujin (1162-1227)together with his Mongol hoard controlled China, Asia and parts of Eastern Europe. He was in the east what the Romans were in the West. He killed like the Romans killed. But the Romans left a culture behind including magnificent architecture.The Great Khan left only carnage. Some was buried. Most rotted. Genghis Khan led a mass of poor. They had nothing . That was an asset. They had nothing to lose. So like locusts they spread and migrated out to neighbors near and far. They took and killed. They were akin to day labor. But they didn't ask for jobs. They just took living day by day.Genghis Khan was the leader of this sharing community.Todays 21st century middle class is under a similar pressure of need to find a living fro day to day as did the Mongol hoard. With the internet as their quasi emperor opportunity are every where. Mandrins like airbnb, Lyft, Alibaba, Uber and others offer platforms to auction excess personal property to anyone for hire/rent.Unlike the Mongols the modern day hoard use money as the medium of exchange. But that could default into a barter if someone could keep score of products for barter.A true cashless society would emerge. Freedom from large parts of government intrusion could be eliminated.

Bitcoin Or Barter

A quick overview of Bitcoin as provided by Wikipedia left me asking why bother.Aside from being described as a cryptocurrency that is based on an open-source crptographic source than can be stored in your digital wallet after using bitcoin miners to find it while keeping in mind that the clock is ticking because Bitcoin creation will be halved every four years until there are 21 million Bitcoins created.Oh by the way all the bits of Bitcoins esoteric being were existing ideas from the cypherpunk community.That doesn't make it necessarily ready for mainstream. The purpose of the Bitcoin is to facilitate peer to peer virtual currency transactions deliberately excluding central monetary authority. I.E. no government printing press currency .But currency is currency. It's still the root of all evil. My thought about its bad rap is it allows people to be in more than one place at a time. The human in the best of circumstances should be limited in influence to his or hers immediate geographical locale. But money allows all sorts of messy projections. Such as sending currencies to Rhino pachers to kill and deliver Rhino horn by the pound. Without Bitcoin or the traditional folding green of any country this atrocity would largely disappear. So what's better for us and the planet instead of Bitcoin or traditional money? Barter is the answer. There are no barriers to participating except ones lack of talent to exchange.

Technology Driven Deflation Is Pushing Us Towards Barter System

The unions have gone away. The middle class is going away. Wages are going away on a relative basis when buying power and less hours worked are added up. The Federal Reserve for all intents and purposes is giving money away. to offset the realities of deflationary trends. So far the drunken sailor monetary policy has failed to reignite job growth or wage increase in any satisfactory way. What's to be done? Well its being done. Technology driven deflation is pointing the way to salvation. Salvation will be a barter system. If adopted, a bartering society will erase unemployment immediately. It will also point out people who are worthless to themselves and by implication to society. Barter will also humanely kill off  bureaucrats . There won't be any checks to cash There won't be any interest to collect. And military proxy wars will go away. And humans will take their place and only one place. They won't be able to "invest" in corporations that decimate the planet. Rhinos and other endangered species will get a pass also.

 Barter and kill a bureaucrat or investor. Sounds good to me.

It's Getting To Be Too Much !

It may be obvious. It may be a little bit late to say it. But in America today, it's all getting to be too, too much for one person or one country to handle or enjoy. Whether it's two wars of choice or a golfer earning 100's of millions to hit a ball or convicted phychos being pardoned by serious presidential candidates from prison to kill 4 police officers etc., etc. it can't last. What's to do? Know your friends. Support them and your family and learn a skill that you can barter.

Barter: Live Efficiently And Survive

No species has survived that was not efficient or resourceful, i.e. the low cost producer of it's own needs. Relationships are more important than money and are cheaper. Therefore a barter system at the personal and worldwide level will prevail against all competing monetary schemes.
