Fiat Money And Wars Of Choice

Why is the United States involved in so many wars? Well the first and most important reason is We Can Afford Them. How? We print money and sell government debt all over the planet to fund wars. In a very real sense our creditors are supporting our wars efforts and are in fact rooting for us. Our vibrant economy pays interest on the debt and so it goes on to the next war.Recently we have gotten so arrogant that we have declared a kind of trade war and or threatened a hot war on the very people who buy our debt and who we trade with. China and Russia are two of the targeted creditors/trading partners. Between them they have 16 time zones and 1.5 billion people. We support Japan and South Korea and Australia in efforts to keep China at bay. We have joined with the European Union with sanctions on Russia over their "aggression" in Crimea and Ukraine. We are shooting ourselves in the foot. In retaliation for our rudeness China and Russia have started to deal in their own local currencies to avoid sanctions which are denominated in U.S. Dollars and the Euro. That event was effected yesterday December 29, 2014.This could be a positive. If the U.S. is denied reserve currency status then fiat money would be curtailed. Because there would be less buyers. With less debt buyers our wars of choice would be immediately limited. Ergo wars would have to be financed domestically which would necessarily impact government spending on a great range of stupid programs. As an example limit or stop paying subsidies to people or corporations who do nothing to earn those subsidies.Only when that happens will our governmnet be forced to debate what we will pay for and what we wont.

How About Blackstone Group Or Carl Icahn Or Other Private Equity & Hedge Fund Operators Organize Foreign Holders Of U.S. Debt For Restructure Of U.S. Government

It happens every day. Whether it be Blackstone or Icahn or some other raider takes a significant position in stock or bonds of targeted companies and then demands management unlock value or enhance safety of investment by changing management or management style.Does the United States Government need some demand that it reduce it ruinous ways? Yes. Our government has about $16 trillion in outstanding debt. Seventy percent of that debt is held by individuals, corporations and governments around the world. The U.S. is in danger of default. It's a circumstance that is perfect for a private equity group or many groups to organize the debt holders to demand responsible actions by our executive and judicial and legislative branches . Real time adjusting markets are not accurate. The Federal Reserve policy of buying its own debt at a $85 billion per month clip resembles market manipulation and is thus effectively criminal and jeopardizes bond holders investments. The mere mention of such a group organizing would plunge the government market initially but would force our congress to act in a prudent way. The group would tip the balance to favor consrevative approach to our government. It may be the only way to break the duopoly of Dems and Reps.

How About A Smaller, A La Carte Government ?

An a la carte menu offers and prices items individually. It's the essence of a personal choice eating experience.

Yesterday the president proposed a $ 3.1 trillion federal budget to congress. It was not modeled on an a la carte exercise. It was more a giant enchilada that all could eat a part. Sure a lot of politicians wrung their hands about it's size , but that was mostly for show. Secretly they relished the sustaining meal because it's their ticket to hoped- for incumbancy. The pols need to take care of their own whether through earmarks, federal contracts for contributing lobbyists or financial tidbits for family related enterprises. Because as long as the whole congress and the executive participate in the take or leave it approach to governments funding then they can't be starved out individually. I. E. when stealing get a majority of congress so you can do it legally.

Voters should require their reps in congress to vote on government programs individually-a la carte- so as to cut down on the giant enchilada experience. It's reached the vomit point.
