Abraham Lincoln Got Justice ?

One hundred and 158 years ago on April 15, 1865 -IRS tax day- Lincoln was assassinated by John Wilkes Booth at Ford Theater. Abe was enjoying a stage play while parts of the North and South still smoked and not all the casualities had been buried yet. He has been termed the last casualty of the Civil War. He was killed for his convictions. His convictions contributed to the approximate deaths of 700,000 other deaths. Not mentioned much is the total devestation to much of the South or the damage to the truly innocent flora and fauna that we take for granted but is much more enjoyable than people. Lincoln's convictions were either political or moral or a combination of both. But the toll of death and damage to everything was not worth it. Did Lincoln deserved to die like he made others die who were not so eager to die but were ordered to die if necessary for a Lincoln vanity.

Attention Brown Protestors In Ferguson, Mo.

Attention Brown protestors in Ferguson, Mo. Michael Browns killing was not a civil rights or racial issue. It was a simple self defense shooting by Officer Darren Wilson. What would you do if a 6' 4'' 280 pound guy charged you after he was shot in a scuffle over the policeman's gun? Blacks have a false sense of their worth because of Lincoln's Civil War over taxes and tariffs. It wasn't about slavery ,in the South. If it was about slavery Lincoln's Emancipation Proclamation would have applied to Northern black slaves. Which it didn't.

Illegal Immigration Amnesty: What Would Lincoln Have Done?

Abraham Lincoln's Emancipation Proclamation freed non-citizens slaves. He did that for philosophical reasons and ALSO for practical reasons-he hoped the slaves would take up arms against their citizen owners. That was a arrogant abuse of power for the president of ALL the United States. For largely political reasons he aligned himself with people who had no legal status and hoped they would kill legally protected American citizens..What would he do today if he saw political gain in amnesty for illegal immigrants?

Amnesty may well be an issue that could break up this country again.

Why Do We Honor Abraham Lincoln?

Most all wars the U.S. has fought were basically other peoples civil or regional conflicts.Whether it be WW I, Korean or the latest Iraqi invasion we have chosen one side over another. At the moment we are wringing our hands about the Syrians killing Syrians. Just yesterday the estimated toll of Syrians dead was upped to 60,000. Assad is a bad man.

What about our own Civil War? The North and South collectively lost over 700,000. Popular belief opines freeing of African slaves was the reason for the war. What's more, no one seems to mind the loss of indigenous peoples, that be we white majority peoples, losing their lives and properties in the cause of freeing field workers who were not citizens.Fact is that the chief instigator of the war by his policies the dyspeptic President Abraham Lincoln was honored for his dirty work by a stunning memorial in Washington, D.C. Now that really sends the wrong signals to minorities and their lawyers and advocates.Hence the riots in the 1960's. Slavery was being abolished peacefully around the globe in the 1860's. We didn't need a war. In the 1960's Martin Luther Kings non-violent ,Ghandi-type resistance to segregation was winning. There wasn't any need for Watts in Los Angeles or Detroit or Berkeley etc. Lincoln was a bad man.

Hitler & Lincoln: A Couple of Characters

Someone is referred to as a character when that someone stands out for a defining, usually outsized defining trait. Adolf Hitler was a character for his brutal championing of a master race. Abraham Lincoln was a character for his championing of individual human rights. Both thought they were doing god's work. Both killed many to prove that they cared about people in the abstract sense. Hitler had advanced technology. Lincoln was stuck with more eye to eye weaponry. Consequently only 700,000 were killed on Lincoln's watch. Whereas Hitler rained down death on millions. They built a memorial to Lincoln in the North because he "won". Hitler lost and was not built a memorial. Lincoln is held up as a hero in our school books. Hitler is vilified in historical accounts. It's no wonder that killing is still the way to go if one wants to make a name for himself in historical accounts and be in school books.

Presidents Day & Assassins Day

Tommorow is Presidents Day. Abraham Lincoln will be "honored' also. Why would we honor one of the most reckless chief executives ? On his watch, an American Civil War took the lives of app. 700,000 North and South soldiers. We shouldn't leave out the East and the West either. I'll bet that some people from all points of the compass voted for Lincoln. Boy were they surprised what this ugly, mean spirited attorney did with his power of the presidency. What about the deaths of pets, livestock and wild animals and birds? How many structures and homes were lost? How many fires burnt out because they ran out of trees and grasses?

Only John Wilkes Booth took vengence upon himself to rid the country of Lincoln. You might have guessd that they would have been standing in line at Ford Theater to get a shot at the great organizer of disaster. Most humans are lazy and cowardly.

Hitler & Lincoln

Put Hitler and Lincolns name together. What do you get? You have two leftists who did much damage because they thought they had god and righteousness on their side. Damage is damage no matter what the cause. Both men were despicable failures.

Bob Hope Quote

Bob Hope once said, "One political party can't fool the people all of the time. That's why we have two."That's more accurate than Abraham Lincoln's observation.

Lincoln, Obama, UAW & Civil War

Abraham Lincoln was quoted, " These capitalists generally act to fleece the people". What would Abe say about the United Auto Workers?

Obama ,who likes to invoke Lincoln, said something about the UAW . He fleeced the capitalists by giving the UAW more of Chrysler and General Motors than the bond holders after the federal bailout. That's an ironic metaphor for the North usurping states rights in the South by way of a Civil War.  A reversal of South Carolina firing on Fort Sumter.

Prepare for the future. The government is getting more aggressive.

Obama & The Lincoln Comparison

Why is Barack Obama trying to pass himself off as resembling Abraham Lincoln? Lincoln was the president who rejected "states rights" to the point of Civil War. The carnage of the war between the states in todays numbers would be over 6,000,000 total deaths in the Union and Confederate armies alone. The civilian deaths and wounded, loss of infrastructure, damage to private property and degredation to the environment was immensely untold.

Slavery was legal but on its way out. Morality aside, technology was close to making the business model of slavery uneconomic. The Civil War was an overeach by North and South. Does America really want another anarchistic-type president who will use the power of his office for yet MORE central planning and control? Will the majorities he enjoys in Congress insure more central planning is on the way? Consequently will the divisevness in American society only expand along "states rights" issues which include, education, health care and most importantly the legal paradigm that will prevail.

Why does Obama evoke Lincoln? Can't he stand on his own? Is he just playing a part? I 'm nervous.

Dick Cheney's Revealing Comment

Yesterday on a Fox News interview Dick Cheney made an interesting comparison. He was defending the Bush Administration's war policies when he said, " If you think about what Abraham Lincoln did during the Civil War.... [he] went far beyond anything we've done in the global war on terror".

He's right. Lincoln was acting more like Saddam Hussein's treatment of the Shiites and Kurds in his over-the-top punishment and occupation of the American South. The Civil War was not justified nor was its barbaric prosecution.
John Wilkes Booth provided some but not off setting justice to that crime. Now there was an actor who could do more than just act.
