Richard Scruggs: Poor Judgment Champion Of Poor Judgment

The ironies are rich in the bribery indictment of attorney Richard Scruggs. He showed poor judgment in bribing Mississippi Judge Henry Lackey for a favorable fee distribution in law suits related to Hurricane Katrina. He, his son and others were caught in an F.B.I. sting operation. So here's a theif who already receives millions per year streaming from his Big Tobacco shakedown stooping for relative chump change and using blatanly illegal methods. He shows bad judgment like the people he championed who were suing in a class action because they got ill after showing the bad judgment to smoke.

Boycott Dollar: Protest U.S. Occupation & Preemptive War

Hit 'em in the pocketbook. That's how you get the attention of Bush/Cheney and their warmongering cronies. Want to protest evil foreign policies? Have a portion of your finances in Euros or more peaceful foreign national assets. Devalued dollars buy less mayhem.

Dick Cheney : Anitchrist?

Yesterday Vice President Dick Cheney underwent another procedure to get his heart in sync. Too bad the tune up was successful. To me Cheney is the incarnation of malevolence. He's the draft-dodging grandmaster of the military-industrial complex who shoots harmless game birds in his spare time.

According to the intelligent design folks everything and everyone has a purpose according to the Creator. Well I guess Cheney's purpose is too scare more people into seeking god. As Sinclair Lewis' character Elmer Gantry said, " I know there's a god because I met the devil!".

Homo Sapiens: Shakespeare Description Said It Best

William Shakespeare's "MacBeth", Act 5, Scene 5.

" Life's but a walking shadow, a poor player that struts and frets his hour upon the stage and then is heard no more. It is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury signifying nothing".

Shakespeare knew homo sapiens.

Explanation Of Iraq Policy

We couldn't leave Iraq when things were going badly. We can't leave Iraq when things are improving. So, what is our plan for Iraq?

We need Iraq for better or worse because it's good for business.

Harpoon Japan's Whale Fleet: Time For Boycott

Japan's resurgent whale-killing fleet left port last week. It's mission was to kill 50 Humpback whales to partially satisfy some of it's 127,000,000 population that enjoy whale flesh. Japan has unilaterally broken the International Whaling Commission's moratorium that has been in place since 1963. Greenpeace set sail also. It plans to shadow the fleet and launch Zodiacs to try and disrupt the killings.

Japan is also involved in the slaughter of Bluefin tuna. The tuna has suffered a 90% reduction in it's numbers as the sushi devotees pay ever incresing prices. As long as it's available at some price it's like nothing has changed in the ocean's tuna stocks.

Too bad Greenpeace doesn't have access to Harpoon missles that can be rigged from either planes, submarines or ships and aimed at Japenese whaling slaughter houses. The well being of the whales and tuna is certainly worth a portion of the Japanese population. But short of that speculation, a consumer boycott of Japanese goods is appropriate .

S.F. Supervisors Need Oath From Illegal I.D. Applicants.

May I offer a suggestion to our Board Of Supervisors?

Whereas S.F. Supervisors are the paragon of liberality and recently affirm this with the issuance of I.D. cards to illegal immigrants. Whereas S.F. Supervisors would like San Franciscans at large to follow and model their own personal behavior on the Board's personality. Should it not follow that the mostly poor, illegal immigrants that we want to attract to San Francisco be somewhat modeled on the Board and our city's preferred resident? Therefore to that goal I propose the requirement of a an oath of preferred behavior from said illegal immigrants before they be granted quasi-legal illegal status.

To wit:

I am an illegal immigrant and I promise the following. So help me Tom Ammiano.

1) I will never have children until I am legal.
2) I will never be a burden to the S.F. tax payer.
3) I will never commit ANOTHER illegal act which includes promoting or supporting cock fighting or using or selling drugs.
4) I will never litter.
5) I will never vote republican.
6) I want affirmative action status against other settled minorities so that the Board can appear to be even more liberal than previously imagined. How else can I afford to live in the city? Maybe if the Board would partition some homes in the Western Addition, Chinatown or Pacific Heights?
7) I promise to be ambivalent about anything that requires critical thinking.

Iraq Victory?

The news is filled with favorable reports and anecdotal photos of how Baghdad is so much safer. Credit is given to Bush's "surge" tactic. So are we supposed to believe that after app. 1,000,000 Iraqi war-related deaths, 4,000,000 Iraqi refugees, $700 billion and counting spent by the U.S. , app. 3900 U.S. deaths, app. 84,000 U.S. casualities that all's well that ends well?

I don't think so. I think the more accurate description of present day Iraq/Baghdad is that it is de facto partioned. And that makes the U.S. redundant. Our troops should leave as the Brits have and we will see a further cessation of hostilities.

May Bush, Cheney et al rot.

A Plan To Protect Endangered Primates In The Congo

It's well known that gorillas, bonobos and chimpanzees, man's closest relatives, are killed in the Congo for "bush meat". The killers claim that Congolese lore instructs "...the [apes] flesh and bones strenghten their own [Congolese] children".

Meanwhile over in Darfur hundreds of thousands are dying because of the true, basic reason of overpopulating a dry-land ecosystem. They brought more children into the world at the same time they couldn't really take care of the ones already here.

Hey, why don't the Congolese killers get the redundant Darfurs instead of killing endangered primates? Or is Darfur too far to go and it sounds too much like work?

Jackie Speier & Tom Lantos: Victim Credentials

Thirteen-term Congressman Tom Lantos, who is best known for being a Holocaust survivor and promoting Israel-first policies in Congress will probably be challenged by Ca. Senator Jackie Speier. Speier is an Armenian-American. Armenians can also claim being victims of a 19th century Armenian genocide. She also can claim a personal victim status by being an "aid" to the late Rep. Leo Ryan. She accompanied him but escaped his fate at the Jonestown massacre.

Are the holocaust/genocide credentials a coincidence? Are those dubious credentials helpful in the American political playbook? Or put another way, would either Lantos or Speier be where they are today without the political capital of being victims? Well America was first settled by victims of religious persecution. So it's kind of in our blood this victim-status celebration. Read the inscription on the Statue of Liberty concerning the open-door policy to all comers. But excessive is not a good description of any policy and America has become a caricature in promoting/protecting just about any belief or political policy.

Nancy Pelosi : Weak & Confused About Speaker's Duties

Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi said before the 2006 elections that made her the first woman Speaker Of The House, that the impeachment of Bush/Cheney "..was off the table". Well she has stuck to that oath. But what about the oath she took in Congress? You know the one, about upholding the laws of the U.S. Shouldn't she follow the facts no matter where they may lead? Even if it's an impeachment of Bush/Cheney. Who is she to take impeachment off the table?

Bush and Cheney have done enough damage to rate being hung. Poor Pelosi can't get the courage for a relatively mild impeachment.

Treasury's Henry Paulson Hollow Defense Of Dollar

The dollar has lost about 30% of its value versus the Euro in the past 2 years. Yesterday Secretary of the Treasury Henry Paulson was giving cheap lip support to the greenback by saying "...a strong dollar is in the nation's best interest and its strength is tied to the long-term strength of the [U.S.] economy". That's partially true. A strong economy cannot support a dollar that rolls off the printing press faster than the growth rate of that economy. Something has to give I.E. the value of the dollar on world markets goes down Q.E.D. So if the federal government really wanted a strong dollar it wouldn't print so much money.

Alas that's how Washington works. Paulson and his Wall St. cronies and Bush and his warmongering buddies want more money now and will let foreigners hold the bag of the falling buck. But sometime soon the foreigners may refuse to lose as much and decide to deversify out of our currency. That shift might be what's neccessary to end this war that relies on foreigners to fund.

Oil Soaked Birds & Saudi Prince

App. 30,000 oil soaked birds are dead or dying from the oil spill in the Caspian Sea yesterday. The ecological disaster will linger for years. Meanwhile in Paris, oil soaked Saudi Prince Walid bin Talal was buying a personal jet. It wasn't just any personal jet, but an Airbus 380. It cost $300 million and will use about as much oil that was spilled in the Caspian in about a year. This collassal misuse of natural resources points out the folly and overestimation of the human's importance.

CEO Severance Pay Package Abuse And Prediction

Ex-Citigroup CEO Charles Prince will walk away with a $100 million severance pay package for his part in the $ 13 billion and counting, subprime mess at the bank. He's the latest example of the non-logical policy of paying big cash awards to failed leadership in the executive suites, which include ousted CEOs at Time-Warner, Home Depot, Merrill Lynch and Freddie Mac.

Will there ever be a return of meritocracy? I predict that if this is the best performance that money can buy then the future winners and survivors will be based on a non-monetary system, E.G. barter system, religious and/or tribal groups. These systems/groups can't afford to lose.

Save Us From More Non-Discrimination Legislation

Yesterday the House rolled out it's latest assualt on people's personal choice , bias and preference. Yes I believe personal choice is more important than some store- bought politician's idea on preferance. This latest model in congressional brainwashing is titled the Employment Non-Discrimination Act. The short story of the bill is to make it illegal"... to refuse to hire or to discharge or otherwise discriminate against any individual.... because of such individuals actual or perceived sexual orientation."

Why do we need this legislation? The anecdotal evidence in America about homosexual freedoms is abundantly seen in same sex unions, the spread of HIV/AIDS, etc. What people do in private is their business. But the assualt on others personal choice concerning these issues is not the homosexual's exclusive territory. LIVE AND LET LIVE.

A Policy Of Torture Against Serious Crime?

The WSJ op-ed page waved the little, kike attorney Alan Dershowitz in front of me this morning. So I couldn't help but respond. His article titled " Democrats And Waterboarding" advocated a strong democratic party platform against terrorists. He encouraged democrats to accept waterboarding and presumably other forms of torture in certain circumstances in America's fight against terrorists. He implies the end justifies the means.

Well if torture is to become part of America's culture, then why limit it's use against suspected terrorists? Why not broaden it's application to homocide and/or arson suspects? After all, these are particularly heinous crimes that society at large needs to find out about the truth. And that's the rub. Once the philosophy of law enforcement includes torture then it's only a matter of time before other criminal actions serious or not become eligible for the treatment of torture.

The NAZIs used torture. Maybe the SS used torture on an Alan Dershowitz relative. When will these kikes learn?

Dennis Kucinich & Dick Cheney Impeachment

Today Dennis Kucinich introduced articles of impeachment on the House floor of Vice President Dick Cheney. The bill had only 21 co-sponsors out of 435 members of the House of Representatives. Pelosi was not one of the co-sponsors! Why only 21 supoorters? Do the members need more proof? Are the members cowards? No. The answer is that there is no lobbyist money in impeachment!

The Environmental Costs Of Overpaid Baseball Players

In the ninteenth century, Abner Doubleday invented baseball. At that same time, there existed in the wilds of India app. 200,000 Bengal Tigers. Yesterday, the newspaper carried an article about Yankee Alex Rodriguez wanting $ 350 million to stay with the New York team. In that same paper was a tiny article about the fact only 1500 Bengal Tigers lived in what's left of India's refuges.

So what's the connection? The metaphysics of our earth is zero sum. I.E. the creation/transformation of earthly resources necessarily result in the destruction/modification of another resource. Therefore the overpaid "A-Rod"who is watched by Yankee fans has been in some part been paid by the disappearance of Bengal Tigers. The wealth of India's wildlife was turned into cash which is fungible in the worlds currencies markets to pay for goods and services which includes " A-Rod's" salary.

Bill & Hillary Clinton: Find Terrorists Useful

In 1999, then President Bill Clinton pardoned and had released from prison 11 members of the Puerto Rican terrorist group Armed Forces Of Liberation a.k.a. FALN. The group advocates the " violent pursuit of Puerto Rican independence". And true to their credo commited 130 bombings in the U.S. which also resulted in 84 innocent casualties some maimed for life and 6 Americans killed.

Now Bill was either overwhelmed with compassion for these terrorists OR he wanted to get Hillary a few more Hispanic votes for her initial U.S. Senate race. This is an historical fact. Character? "The Clintons don't show no stinking character!"
